arts in education..

"The company is made up of professionally trained dancers who not only are fabulous performers, but remarkable educators. Educating and mentoring our next generation is vital for them to learn a foundation to then be able to innovate. Danse4Nia does this impeccably."

– Jenny Filer, Think Box

Danse4Nia Repertory Ensemble recognizes how dance and other art forms positively influence our society as a whole and strives to continue its influence through professional performances, artist in residency programs, instructional classes and workshops.

Danse4Nia is able to provide master classes and workshops in West African dance, the Horton technique, the Umfundalai Technique, Jazz dance, Hip-Hop (including House) dance, in addition to composition and contemporary Ballet. Lectures on dance training and preparing for a dance career are also available.

In addition, we are prepared to conduct panel discussions or question/ answer sessions about the role of dance in society, the purpose of dance, and dance as a business. Collaborative workshops are available to teach students how to fuse concert dance with the arts of spoken word, live music and "turntabilism".

Danse4Nia Repertory Ensemble is a roster artist for Arts & Education with the Pennsylvania Council of the Arts under Philadelphia Arts & Education Partnership. For more information, please visit www.pacouncilonthearts.org.
